Whitney Tisdale, M.S.,CCC-SLP
Owner, Therapist
Whitney earned her Bachelor of Arts in Communicative Disorders in 2009 and her Master of Science in Speech-Language Pathology in 2011, both from the University of Alabama. With 14 years of experience, she has worked in public schools, specialized behavioral schools, and private practice settings. Whitney has a special interest in language development, speech sound disorders, and supporting children with complex communication needs. She is passionate about helping children build the skills and confidence they need to communicate successfully.
Amy Harris, M.S.,CCC-SLP
Speech/Feeding Therapist
Amy earned her Bachelor of Arts in Communicative Disorders with a minor in Spanish from the University of Alabama in 2012 and her Master of Science in Speech-Language Pathology in 2014. She has a special interest in feeding and swallowing disorders, bilingual therapy, cleft palate, and childhood apraxia of speech. Amy is passionate about providing individualized, engaging therapy that helps children build meaningful skills and reach their fullest potential.
Emma Barnes, M.S.,CCC-SLP
Speech Therapist
Emma earned both her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Speech-Language Pathology from Alabama A&M University. She has a special interest in early language development, play-based therapy, and Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC). Emma is passionate about creating fun, engaging therapy experiences that help children build meaningful communication skills and confidently express their wants and needs.
Maggie Ledbetter, M.S.,CF-SLP
Speech Therapist
Maggie graduated from the University of Mississippi in 2026 and is currently completing her Clinical Fellowship (CF) year in Speech-Language Pathology. Maggie has a special interest in feeding therapy, language disorders, and play-based therapy. She is passionate about creating fun, engaging therapy experiences that help children build meaningful communication skills.
Cassidy Beck, Client Care Coordinator
Cassidy keeps the day-to-day operations at Speech Spot running smoothly, from coordinating referrals and appointments to making sure every family who walks through our doors feels welcomed and supported.
